-      I have never used Twitter for a class before and honestly, I am really liking it before! Since I have already had so much experience with Twitter previously, I am comfortable with the layout/ setup. However, being in this type of Twitter community is a whole new scene! I get to interact with educational accounts as well as my peers in the class (and even some in the same course but different classes, which is very cool). In the future, as a lobbyist for education, Twitter will be very helpful with communicating with people who have the same passion as I do, as well as promoting the cause that I am lobbying for!

-      The digital divide addresses the disparities within school and students who do and do not have access to technology. Some students may have an ease of access to technology both within school and at home, while on the other hand, there are many students who do not have this easy access in either location. This creates a clear divide in how students perform in school, higher education, and in the future workforce. If they do not have this access, then they are not being trained sufficiently for their future outside of high school/ college. Consequences include not being able to research in the most efficient manner, not being able to easily complete and submit their assignments, and not being prepared for using technology in their future career (which is becoming overwhelming popular in all professions). The causes of this divide are so far out of the students’ hands in most cases depending on their socioeconomic status, where they live, and even who they live with (and also if they live in lower-income neighborhoods then the odds are that they probably attend less-equipped schools which cannot provide technological experience). As a teacher, one may run into a mix of both kinds of students and this will make teaching a little more different because you will have to find ways to help both kinds of students learn and succeed not only in school but in a skill that is vital to our society nowadays.

-      As a student in high school I loved Kahoot. It was a fun and engaging way to study for tests and check my understanding of concepts in any class. It is applicable for nearly all ages and all subjects. Another academic software that I enjoyed in school that I would implement in my classroom is PowerPoint. It is a staple in educational learning because it is a great way to not only check your students understanding of what they are learning but also help their presentation skills which are vital for the real world. It is a great mix of writing and making something look visually appealing because of all the artistic options that it offers.
