- Working with Diigo was slightly confusing at first but i really began to appreciate it! Especially when it comes to how easy it is to share other websites with other people in your groups so that you can make their life a little easier as well! The annotating portion of Diigo was also fairly easy and creates a super easy environment to share your comments with other people in your community or even just keep them for yourself in the future. This can help in a classroom for easy dissemination of information, especially with colleagues as well. One website that can hold a variety of different sites that you can go back to in the future is great for helping professional efforts. - Professional development is vital for all educators in order to hone in on their skills to make their experience easier on them, as well as for the students. It is very important that teachers stay up to date and be aware of the changes in their students lives that will ultimately affect them as well. ILP #2: PLN

For my second independent learning project i chose Reddit. It was really cool to get to explore what other teachers in groups/ communities that i found on the site had to say and i can see this being an amazing source for teachers to use in order to expand their own personal learning network. - My experience with Twitter so far has been pretty good! I have learned a lot about the side of twitter that is designated for teachers and students and using Twitter as a Personal Learning Network. By using Twitter, teachers and students can receive information from other students or teachers to make their lives and their careers a little bit easier! I have not experience any issues using Twitter thus far and in my opinion it is one of the easiest examples of a PLN for teachers. - Honestly, creating the website was kind of challenging for me. Weebly was super finicky and didn't like to put things in the places that i wanted them (i am well aware this was probably just user error). I have never made a website before and so this was definitely a learning experience and i got the gist of it after messing around a bit with the website. Next time, i could probably spend a little bit more time reading the tips and tricks for the website. In my future career as a lobbyist, i could utili...

-        This is my first time using Diigo and I like it so far! I really love the communication aspect of the tool and how easy it is to share tools with members in your group that help your colleagues. When I first saw Diigo I honestly didn’t think it looked reliable, the look isn’t super appealing and looks kind of outdated. But using it within other browsers and being able to annotate and highlight other websites and easily share your notes with other members in your group is vital to locating reliable sites to find lesson plans and much more.  -        I have really liked blogging so far! Since it is my own blog, I can write how I want while expressing my opinions on different subjects (in an appropriate manner of course). Not only does it act as an outlet for teachers, but also a way for teachers to communicate within their personal learning network. Blogs acts as a good review of different websites to utilize in ...

-        Teacher’s pages on school websites are a great way to keep not only students up to date but parents as well. I looked at Mrs. Steed’s page on Florida High’s and her page included a short bio that explained what she teaches and the other programs that she oversees, along with her email. She teaches United States Government and Economics both in honors and general, so the age range of her kids is mostly seniors. For her different classes she includes their different syllabi that includes the materials needed for the class and the coursework they will be learning. Because she has the syllabi on her website, it is much easier for students to refer back to rather than shuffling through a bunch of papers.  https://www.fsus.school/Page/980#calendar3856/20200227/month -        I envision myself using technology in the future to stay more connected with the world around me. Being a lobbyist requires having a lot of conn...

-        I have never used Twitter for a class before and honestly, I am really liking it before! Since I have already had so much experience with Twitter previously, I am comfortable with the layout/ setup. However, being in this type of Twitter community is a whole new scene! I get to interact with educational accounts as well as my peers in the class (and even some in the same course but different classes, which is very cool). In the future, as a lobbyist for education, Twitter will be very helpful with communicating with people who have the same passion as I do, as well as promoting the cause that I am lobbying for! -        The digital divide addresses the disparities within school and students who do and do not have access to technology. Some students may have an ease of access to technology both within school and at home, while on the other hand, there are many students who do not have this easy access in either loc...

ILP Design- ClassDojo

For my ILP I chose ClassDojo because I had never used it before and wanted to try exploring it for myself! I ended up really liking it. It is very organized and would be great for a younger class! My favorite aspect of this website was how easy it is to communicate with parents and share their child's work. https://voicethread.com/share/13658659/
